
Union Minister of Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat described the damage to rare Sikh manuscripts at the Sikh Reference Library during the 1984 Operation Bluestar as an "unfortunate incident." Responding to a Rajya Sabha query, he said the government plans to explore restoration using advanced digital technologies like artificial intelligence and multispectral imaging under the Gyan Bharatam Mission, aimed at conserving India's manuscript heritage. MP Satnam Singh Sandhu emphasized the library's historical importance and urged digital recovery efforts.
