ISJD Announces Kerala Assembly Poll Candidates, Krishnankutty to Step Aside in Chittur

The Indian Socialist Janata Dal (ISJD), part of Kerala's Left Democratic Front (LDF), announced candidates for the April 9 Assembly elections. Sitting MLA Mathew T. Thomas will contest from Thiruvalla, V. Murugadas will replace Power Minister K. Krishnankutty in Chittur, and Sabu George will contest from Ernakulam. Krishnankutty will not contest but remains active in politics. The party is finalizing the candidate for the Kovalam seat amid discussions with allies.
