Uttarakhand has secured the second position nationally for its mining reforms, earning a 200 crore incentive from the Central Government. The state implemented e-auctions, satellite monitoring, and transparency measures, significantly increasing mining revenue from 300 crore to 1,200 crore. This incentive, under the SASCI scheme, will support further reforms in minor minerals and the State Mining Readiness Index, aiming for a more organized and environmentally sensitive mining sector.
