The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered the Punjab government to clear all pending revised pension and Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears, including related dues, by April 30, 2026, with 6% interest on delayed payments. Justice Harpreet Singh Brar emphasized that DA is a legally enforceable right and cannot be withheld due to financial constraints. The ruling applies universally to all pensioners across Punjab, including those from state boards and corporations, following petitions highlighting hardships faced by retirees awaiting payments since 2016.
