Punjab ASHA and Mid-Day Meal Workers Protest Over Unmet Wage and Benefit Promises

ASHA and mid-day meal workers from Punjab protested outside the residences of six Cabinet Ministers, including Harbhajan Singh ETO and Mohinder Bhagat, demanding fulfillment of election promises by the Aam Aadmi Party government. They highlighted that despite assurances to double their honorarium and increase wages annually, no raise has occurred in four years. Protesters also called for arrears payment, retirement benefits, insurance coverage, and pension, warning of continued agitation if demands are unmet in the upcoming Budget session.
