
Amid escalating conflict in West Asia, the Indian government has assured that the country maintains sufficient stocks of crude oil, LPG, and LNG, with supplies being replenished daily. India imports about 195 million metric standard cubic metres per day of gas, with Qatar supplying 60 million. To diversify energy sources, India is exploring alternative suppliers including Australia and Canada, and is in talks with major producers, the IEA, OPEC, the US, and the UAE. There are no plans to ration petrol or diesel, and authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
