India Rebuffs Pakistan's Jammu and Kashmir Claims at UN Human Rights Council

At the 61st Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, India strongly rebutted Pakistan and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation's allegations on Jammu and Kashmir. Indian envoy Anupama Singh described Pakistan's claims as propaganda driven by envy, reaffirming that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India with legal accession in 1947. Singh highlighted infrastructure developments like the Chenab Rail Bridge and urged Pakistan to vacate territories it occupies illegally, dismissing criticism on democratic processes and accusing Pakistan of state-sponsored terrorism.
