India Rebuts Pakistan's Jammu and Kashmir Claims at UN Human Rights Council

At the 61st Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, India's representative Anupama Singh strongly rebutted Pakistan and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation's allegations on Jammu and Kashmir. India affirmed that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, citing its legal accession in 1947 and highlighting regional development, including the Chenab Rail Bridge and a development budget exceeding Pakistan's recent IMF bailout. Singh accused Pakistan of spreading propaganda and urged it to vacate illegally occupied Indian territories, while dismissing criticisms of India's democratic processes.
