
A seminar and havan were organized by Jat Sabha Panchkula to honor Maharaja Surajmal, an 18th-century Jat warrior. Speakers highlighted his reign in Bharatpur, his battles against the Mughals and British, and his consolidation of the kingdom. Born in 1707, Surajmal is noted for his leadership during the Mughal empire's decline and his construction of forts and palaces, including Bharatpur Fort.
