The Election Commission of India (ECI) plans to visit West Bengal on March 9-10 to review poll preparations ahead of assembly elections in Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal scheduled for May and June. The ECI has already visited other states and is assessing logistics, security, and electoral roll revisions. West Bengal's elections may occur in six to seven phases due to security concerns and the recent Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, with the poll schedule expected by mid-March.
