Former Shimla Deputy Commissioner Amit Kashyap has been appointed as a Member of the GST Appellate Tribunal for Himachal Pradesh. The central government issued the appointment orders for four years following approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. Kashyap, a retired IAS officer and former Indian Army commissioned officer, previously held various significant administrative roles. The GST Appellate Tribunals are being established nationwide to ensure swift justice and enhance transparency in tax administration.
