India's Ministry of Labour and Employment marked 2025 as a significant year for employment reforms, implementing four new Labour Codes to streamline 29 existing laws and enhance worker protection. The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY), launched in August 2025 with a ₹99,446 crore outlay, aims to create over 3.5 crore jobs by offering wage support and employer incentives. These initiatives focus on modernization, inclusivity, gender equality, and expanding social security coverage.
