The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) has benefited over 2 million first-time employees and 163,994 employers since its August 15 launch. The scheme, with a budget of ₹99,446 crore, aims to create over 35 million jobs in two years, focusing on the manufacturing sector. It provides first-time employees with one month's wage and employers with incentives for generating new jobs. The ministry also reported progress on social security coverage for gig and platform workers.
