
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the upgraded 37.36-kilometre Cuddalore-Madapattu section of the State Highway via video conferencing. The Rs 428.59 crore project, funded with Asian Development Bank assistance, spans three districts and includes bridges, culverts, junctions, bus shelters with toilets, and extensive lighting. Environmental measures feature 8,770 saplings planted along the route. The upgrade aims to improve connectivity and reduce travel time for residents of 24 villages across Cuddalore, Villupuram, and Kallakurichi districts.
