Centre Approves Rs 368 Crore for Andhra Pradesh National Highway; Katni Flyover Project Awaits Design Clearance

The Central Government has approved Rs 368 crore for constructing National Highway 365BB, an 86.7-kilometre two-lane road connecting Jilugumilli in Eluru district to Kovvur in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. This highway aims to improve connectivity to the Polavaram project area and nearby regions, benefiting around 100 agency villages and 30 plain area settlements. Construction is underway, with about 70 percent of the required land acquired. Separately, a Rs 400 crore flyover project in Katni to link three railway stations remains pending approval of its geometric design, delaying progress amid traffic congestion concerns.
