
Mumbai and the MMR region are gearing up for the 2026 BMC elections as the Mahayuti and UBT-MNS alliances finalize seat-sharing and prepare for aggressive campaigns. The Mahayuti will launch its campaign on Saturday with joint rallies by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, followed by their manifesto release after January 5. The UBT-MNS alliance will also unveil a joint manifesto on January 4 after a press conference by Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray, who have also planned an extensive joint campaign.
