
The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to begin the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Jharkhand in April, completing the exercise in a single phase. The SIR process, which started over eight months ago in Bihar and has covered nine states and three Union Territories, aims to update voter lists nationwide. Additionally, Jharkhand's Chief Electoral Office will co-host an international conference on voter registration with academic partners in September to discuss best practices.
