Himachal BJP chief Rajeev Bindal accused the Congress government led by Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of working towards a "systemic collapse for the poor." Bindal alleged the government plans to implement new Below Poverty Line (BPL) norms to exclude genuine poor families from welfare benefits, calling it a "conspiracy to deprive the poor." He also criticized the Congress for opposing the Viksit Bharat G RAM G scheme and accused the state government of failing to deposit its share for MGNREGA, thereby misleading people and harming rural beneficiaries.
