GLADA Identifies 47 Unauthorized Commercial Buildings Along Sidhwan Canal Road in Ludhiana

The Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) identified 47 unauthorized commercial buildings along the Sidhwan Canal road between Ferozepur Road (NH-95A) and Ladhowal Road (NH-44) near South City. Following a survey prompted by a writ from the Ludhiana Citizen Association, GLADA rejected all regularisation applications for these establishments due to non-compliance with planning norms. Authorities have directed violators to remove illegal structures at their own expense, warning of sealing and demolition under the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act if they fail to comply.
