Residents Request Access Passage Near Puzhuthivakkam MRTS Station in Chennai

Residents' associations from Velachery West and Adambakkam have requested Southern Railway to realign the compound wall near the north-eastern entrance of the upcoming Puzhuthivakkam MRTS station. They seek to create a pedestrian and cycle passage across Veerangal Odai, linking Saraswathy Nagar 7th Street with the MRTS Inner Ring Road service road. The request follows recent construction of a private compound wall, resulting in a gap suitable for access development. Southern Railway's Engineering Construction Department is expected to assess feasibility.
