
India celebrated its 78th Army Day on January 15, 2026, with the main parade held in Jaipur for the first time outside a military cantonment. The event showcased advanced weaponry including BrahMos missiles, Arjun and Bhishma tanks, and modern combat systems, alongside cultural performances and the debut of the newly raised Bhairav Battalion. Gallantry awards were presented posthumously to soldiers from Operation Sindoor.
