The brother of slain student leader Sharif Osman Hadi has accused elements within Bangladesh's interim government, led by Muhammad Yunus, of orchestrating his assassination. Sharif Omar Hadi alleges the killing was intended to derail the upcoming national elections, scheduled for February. Hadi, a spokesperson for the Inquilab Moncho, was shot on December 12 and died on December 18. His death has sparked violent protests, with mobs targeting media and cultural organizations. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also criticized the interim government's handling of law and order.
