The Delhi government will implement the Centre's 'Rah-Veer' scheme, offering Rs 25,000 and a certificate to citizens who assist seriously injured road accident victims by ensuring their transport to a hospital within the critical 'golden hour'. The scheme, aligned with the Good Samaritan Rules under the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019, aims to encourage timely medical aid and reduce fatalities. A district-level committee will oversee rewards, which will be transferred digitally. Additionally, ten outstanding helpers will receive a national award of Rs 1 lakh annually.
