
Rajasthan government reported a significant increase in enforcement actions against private buses and commercial vehicles from April to December 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Data tabled in the state assembly showed rises in challans for violations, overloading, and safety breaches, along with more vehicle seizures and suspensions of registrations and driving licenses. Following two bus fire incidents, transport officials faced suspensions and departmental actions for negligence. The government provided district-wise statistics and addressed supervisory accountability.
