Telangana Reviews Preparations for Fully Digital Census 2027 and 99-Day Action Plan

Telangana officials, led by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, convened a district collectors conference on March 3, 2026, to review preparations for the Census 2027 and the state's 99-day action plan, Praja Palana - Pragati Pranalika. Census 2027 will be India's first fully digital enumeration, starting with House Listing Operations on May 11 and a prior self-enumeration phase. Emphasis was placed on comprehensive coverage, real-time data capture, transparency, and capacity building for field staff to ensure accurate and inclusive data collection.
