India has formally raised concerns with the United States over significant delays and cancellations of H-1B visa appointments, impacting numerous Indian nationals. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that while visa matters are a sovereign issue, the government has flagged these concerns to US authorities in New Delhi and Washington D.C. These delays have caused considerable hardship, including disruptions to education and personal lives, with many applicants stranded.
