Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured MGNREGA functionaries that their jobs and service conditions will be protected under the new Viksit Bharat - Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025. He stated that the existing workforce will implement the new Act, ensuring no disruption in employment or service delivery. The new law aims to increase guaranteed employment to 125 days per year and align rural employment with sustainable asset creation.
