An undercover journalist captured Escotto on camera discussing security details, including shift schedules and travel plans, with someone he believed to be a romantic interest. The agent also allegedly expressed opposition to former President Trump's immigration policies. The O'Keefe Media Group reported Escotto is a holdover from the Biden administration and voted for Biden.
