Punjab Government Promotes Sports to Combat Drug Addiction and Revive Hockey Legacy

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is focusing on promoting sports among youth to combat drug addiction and restore the state's sporting legacy. The government has launched the 'Yudh Nashayen Virudh' campaign and is constructing 13,000 modern stadiums, with over 3,000 underway. Mann also rewarded Paris Olympics hockey medallists from Punjab and highlighted the launch of India's first junior hockey league, emphasizing hockey's historic significance and the state's contribution to the sport.
