PM Modi Highlights Nalanda's Shaastraarth and Sanskrit University's AI B.Tech Programme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted initiatives linking India's ancient knowledge with modern technology during his Mann Ki Baat address. Nalanda University is reviving the tradition of Shaastraarth, a disciplined dialogue and debate method, to preserve intellectual heritage amid technological advances. Meanwhile, Central Sanskrit University has launched an AI and Data Science B.Tech programme, approved by AICTE, aiming to integrate traditional knowledge with emerging technologies, support AI tools for Indian languages, and aid digitisation of ancient texts starting from the 2026-27 academic year.
