NC MPs Meet President Murmu, Seek Restoration of J-K Statehood and Address Regional Issues

On March 13, National Conference MPs Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, and Shammi Oberoi met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, submitting a memorandum seeking early restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood. They highlighted issues including protection of land and job rights, unemployment, return of major hydropower projects to the region, and environmental concerns such as climate change and glacier retreat, urging comprehensive economic and ecological measures.
