
Tamil Nadu has conducted a significant reshuffling of its Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre, promoting 70 officers. This includes elevating three Additional Directors General of Police (ADGPs) to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP) in specialized units like Armed Police and Cyber Crime. Several Inspectors General (IGs) have also been promoted to ADGP positions, with new postings in key roles such as Commissioner of Police and ADGP for Crimes Against Women and Children.
