Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu informed Parliament that Indian airlines have cancelled 4,335 flights and foreign carriers 1,187 flights due to the ongoing West Asia conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran. Flight disruptions stem from airspace closures prioritizing passenger safety. Despite cancellations, nearly 219,780 passengers have traveled during this period. The Ministry and DGCA maintain close coordination with regional authorities, with normal operations expected only after airspace reopens.
