Delhi MCD Committee Approves Civic Proposals and Park Adoption Policy for 2026-27

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi's Standing Committee approved several civic proposals for the 2026-27 budget, focusing on sanitation drives, pollution control, stray cattle management, and school infrastructure reviews. A unified policy was passed allowing Resident Welfare Associations to adopt and maintain around 15,000 parks under a public-private partnership, with financial assistance of Rs 13,500 per acre per month. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party councillors raised concerns over 668 MCD schools in poor condition, urging urgent attention to safety and maintenance.
