The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is making extensive arrangements for the Magh Mela 2026 in Prayagraj, scheduled from January 3 to February 15. The event is expected to draw an estimated 120 to 150 million Hindu devotees for holy dips at the Sangam, following the scale of the Maha Kumbh. The government aims to ensure a safe, clean, and divine experience, organizing the fair on the Mahakumbh model. The Magh Mela holds significant religious importance in Hinduism, with devotees believing a holy dip during the month of Magh at the Triveni Sangam purifies the soul.
