MCD Finalizes Budget Plans Emphasizing Pollution Control, Sanitation, and Health Services

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has initiated the budget formulation process for 2025-26 and 2026-27, focusing on air pollution control, sanitation, and health services expansion. Chairperson Satya Sharma highlighted efforts to convert landfill sites into green spaces, enhance plantation drives, and upgrade healthcare and education facilities. The budget includes a dedicated provision for managing stray dogs and aims to strengthen finances without increasing public tax burdens, while also supporting staff welfare and councillor activities.
