
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is advancing key infrastructure projects to improve regional connectivity. It has initiated groundwork for Metro Line 5A, an 11.8 km elevated corridor linking Kalyan and Ulhasnagar, with a project cost of ₹4,063 crore and expected government approval in April. Separately, the Maharashtra government aims to complete major road projects this year, including the Mumbai-Pune expressway missing link, Santacruz Chembur Link Road extension, and the Sewri-Worli elevated corridor, enhancing traffic flow and access to Navi Mumbai International Airport.
