India Pays $35.18 Million to UN Regular Budget for 2026, Joins Honour Roll

India has paid USD 35.18 million to the United Nations Regular Budget for 2026, joining 47 Member States on the UN's "honour roll" for timely and full payment of their budget assessments. The UN Committee on Contributions confirmed these payments were made within the 30-day due period specified by UN financial regulations. UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric highlighted India's consistent record and referenced the Statue of Unity, the world's tallest statue located in Gujarat.
