European Leaders to Attend India's Republic Day, Co-Chair India-EU Summit with FTA Expected

European Council President Antonio Luis Santos da Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will be chief guests at India's 77th Republic Day celebrations from January 25-27. During their state visit, they will co-chair the 16th India-EU Summit on January 27, where a long-pending Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is expected to be announced. The visit includes meetings with President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alongside an India-EU Business Forum. The partnership, strategic since 2004, has expanded across trade, investment, and other sectors.
