Brazil's Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered former President Jair Bolsonaro's transfer from a 12-square-meter cell at the federal police headquarters to a larger, 54-square-meter cell with a 10-square-meter outdoor area at the Papuda Penitentiary Complex in Brasilia. Bolsonaro is serving a 27-year sentence for attempting a coup after his 2022 election defeat. The court cited improved conditions for medical care and family visits, denying claims of mistreatment. Bolsonaro will serve his sentence in isolation with access to private medical assistance.
