Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh laid foundation stones for four new libraries in Sectors 77-80, a project costing Rs 1.49 crore aimed at promoting reading and providing modern study facilities. The libraries are expected to be completed within three to four months. The event, however, sparked a political dispute as a local councillor claimed they were not invited to the ceremony. The MLA also highlighted Punjab government initiatives, including a Rs 10 lakh health insurance scheme and reduced land prices.
