The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has accused West Bengal's Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari of delivering "naked hate speech" for his remarks against Bangladesh and its interim government concerning attacks on minorities. Adhikari's statements, made during protests outside the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, were described by TMC leaders as provocative and communal, intended to incite unrest. Supporters of Adhikari, however, defended his remarks, calling the TMC's reaction hypocritical and an effort to shield Bangladesh's interim administration.
