NCP(SP) Announces Candidates for Kerala Assembly Elections Including A.K. Saseendran

The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) has announced candidates for the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections, including Minister A.K. Saseendran contesting from Elathur for a fourth consecutive term. Despite opposition from the Kozhikode district committee favoring Mukkam Mohammed, the party's central leadership endorsed Saseendran. Thomas K. Thomas and K.T. Mujeeb will contest from Kuttanad and Malappuram respectively. The decision reflects internal party disagreements amid the Left Democratic Front's support for Saseendran.
