A Tamil Nadu government committee, tasked with examining pension schemes, submitted its final report to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The report, which follows an interim submission in October, comes ahead of a planned January 6 strike by government employees and teachers demanding the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). The committee, headed by IAS officer Gagandeep Singh Bedi, consulted various employee associations and financial institutions.
