Congress Forms State-Level Committees Ahead of Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections

The Congress party has established several state-level committees to prepare for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge approving the formation. Key panels include a 37-member Pradesh Election Committee chaired by K Selvaperunthagai, a 51-member Campaign Committee led by A Chellakumar, and a 26-member Election Manifesto Committee headed by Karti Chidambaram. The party is contesting in alliance with the ruling DMK, which has allocated 28 seats to Congress under the seat-sharing arrangement. Other allies include MDMK, Indian Union Muslim League, and Manithaneya Makkal Katchi.
