Goregaon-Mulund Link Road Twin Tunnel Project Reaches Launching Shaft Completion

The Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR) project in Mumbai marked a key milestone with the completion of the launching shaft for its twin tunnel at Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari. The project includes a 4.7 km twin tunnel beneath Sanjay Gandhi National Park and a 1.6 km box tunnel, using two Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs). Assembly and excavation are set to begin soon, aiming for tunnel completion by October 2028. The 12.2 km road will connect Goregaon and Mulund, reducing travel time significantly.
