At a Federation of Sector Welfare Associations Chandigarh (FOSWAC) meeting, Mayor Saurabh Joshi assured residents that delayed civic projects would be addressed promptly due to improved municipal finances. The meeting, attended by 84 executive members and chaired by FOSWAC chairman Baljinder Singh Bittu, highlighted parking management issues. Bittu proposed introducing a nominal one-time parking fee for three to five years at vehicle registration to generate revenue and suggested collecting fees at exit points to ease congestion. Residents were encouraged to report local civic concerns directly to the administration for faster resolution.
