Assam's Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts have had mobile internet services restored following a period of unrest. The ban, imposed on December 23 due to violent protests over land rights, was lifted on Sunday, December 28, after the law and order situation was deemed improved and normalized. The violence resulted in two deaths and over 170 injuries, primarily among security personnel. While services have resumed, security forces remain deployed, and prohibitory orders continue in affected areas.
