Elevators in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) housing complex in Bhopal's Ganga Nagar remained non-functional for approximately 10 hours due to the Bhopal Municipal Corporation's (BMC) alleged failure to pay electricity bills. The power lapse caused significant inconvenience to residents, including senior citizens and patients, who rely on the lifts. While power was restored by evening, residents expressed frustration over the lack of basic facilities despite paying maintenance charges and for their flats. BMC officials have promised an investigation into the matter.
