Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy distributed ex-gratia payments of Rs five lakh each to families of 44 Hyderabad residents who died in a November bus accident near Madina, Saudi Arabia, and Rs three lakh to an injured individual. The government facilitated family visits and coordinated with Indian and Saudi authorities for relief and funerals. Though compensation for overseas accidents is uncommon, the state extended support on humanitarian grounds. Reddy highlighted his ongoing community engagement, including sponsoring Haj pilgrimages since 2009.
